Job summary

REDBAR Espresso & Market in Mobile, AL seeks baristas and bartenders to craft hot and cold beverages, including alcoholic drinks. After training, staff may cross-train in the kitchen. Base hourly wage is $10 with system and cash tips, and tips are distributed at shift end.

Shifts include mornings, afternoons, and Friday/Saturday nights. Full-time and part-time positions available. Benefits include an employee discount and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for baristas and bartenders to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages like coffees, teas, and alcoholic beverages. Will after complete training be cross trained in kitchen as well. These positions include system credit card tips that add to the base hourly wage of $10 per hour, as well as cash tips that are divided at the end of each shift. Remember, NO TAX ON TIPS was passed through legislation which is huge for the service industry!

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
• Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
• Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Preparing and/or serving alcoholic beverages
• Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, stocking, and proper handling
• Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
• Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
• Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu

Requirements:

• Food Handlers Card
• Age 21 and up Preferred
• Barista Experience (Preferred)
• Bartender Experience (Preferred)
• Must be available to work Friday nights and Saturdays this is non negotiable

Shifts:

Morning shifts are between 6:00am and 2:00pm. Afternoon shifts are between 1:30pm and 7:30pm. Friday and Saturday nights are until 8:30pm so early enough to still do something after work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Projected Total Compensation: $10.00 – $14.00 per hour
