Job summary

Pepe International, Inc. in California seeks a skilled Server/Bartender to join a fast-paced, guest-focused team. This hybrid role covers both Vesuvio and Little Napoli, delivering exceptional table service and quality beverages behind the bar.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of serving or bartending experience, can work evenings and weekends, and understands food, wine, and cocktails within Italian cuisine. RBS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of serving and/or bartending in a high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Flexible to work at Vesuvio and Little Napoli as needed.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails; Italian cuisine knowledge a plus.
• California alcohol service requirements (RBS) must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive service from greeting to farewell.
• Guide guests through menus including food, wine, and cocktails.
• Anticipate guest needs for a seamless dining experience.

We are seeking a skilled and personable Server/Bartender who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This hybrid role requires the ability to provide exceptional table service while also preparing quality beverages behind the bar. Flexibility to work between both Vesuvio and Little Napoli is required.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service from greeting to farewell
• Guide guests through menus, including food, wine, and cocktail selections
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless dining experience
• Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
• Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and Italian spirits
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Maintain clear and professional communication across both locations

Operational Duties

Accurately enter orders into POS (Toast experience preferred)

• Process payments and handle cash responsibly
• Complete opening and closing side work
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years of serving and/or bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Flexibility to work at both Vesuvio and Little Napoli as business needs require
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails (Italian cuisine knowledge a plus)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
• Must meet all California alcohol service requirements (e.g., RBS certification)
