Job description

A food attendant is responsible for the meals served to guests each day. Food attendants oversee the setup and takedown of the buffet, maintain the dining space, ensure food is available, and provide guest services. They assist with seating, delivering food and drinks to guests, manage the buffet, and clean tables in between guests.

Duties:

  1. Keep work area clean
  2. Keep all products stocked to ensure they are consistently available to all guests
  3. Throw out all outdated products
  4. Make sure coffee is fresh and kept full for the duration of your shift
  5. Ensure tables and chairs are kept clean during breakfast and at closing
  6. Sweep floor of dining area at opening and closing
  7. Sweep and mop serving area at closing
  8. Wash and put away all dishes and utensils that were used
  9. Sweep and mop kitchen at closing
  10. Once a week, wipe down both sides of both sets of sliding doors
  11. Keep counters wiped down as you go
  12. Ensure all food is wrapped or sealed if not being used immediately
  13. Do table touches with guests during breakfast to ensure they have received satisfactory service
  14. Wash your hands
  15. Wear gloves when handling food or anything that involves food
  16. Take trash out when full and at the end of your shift
