Job summary

The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific is seeking a Food Server Assistant to help the Food Server in serving guests at Oceanside. The role requires standing for long periods outdoors and aligns with Hyatt values of empathy, respect, integrity, inclusion and experimentation.

Expect duties such as rolling silverware, clearing tables, running food and drinks, and assisting new hires. The position is part of the Mission Pacific Beach Resort and Seabird Resort hospitality network with 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (~25 pounds).
• 1+ year experience in Food & Beverage.
• Ability to work outdoors for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Server in serving guests.
• Support with rolling silverware, clearing tables, running food and drinks.
• Handle side work, cleaning tasks, trainings, and meetings as needed.
• Assist guests with questions about The Mission Pacific Beach Resort or The Seabird Resort.

The menu focuses on Baja-inspired dishes and delicious bites to share, plus a full array of craft cocktails with original recipes from our accomplished team of mixologists.

Organization – JDV Oceanside

The Food Server Assistant is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person will be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, in the outdoor weather conditions. This person will act with maturity and behavior that aligns with Hyatt values: Empathy, Respect, Integrity, Inclusion and Experimentation.

Please note, your job duties may include additional responsibilities depending on business needs, such as rolling silverware, clearing tables, running food and drinks, assigned side work, cleaning measures, compliance trainings, meetings, assisting new hires to Rooftop, assisting guests with questions that relate to either The Mission Pacific Beach Resort or The Seabird Resort, etc.

The Rooftop Bar is within the Oceanside Beach Resorts properties including The Mission Pacific Beach Resort and The Seabird Resort. The hospitality business is 24/7 and this server may be responsible for assisting other food and beverage outlets on occasion, depending on business needs.

Hourly rate for this position is $17.50/hr.
