Job summary

Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA is seeking a part-time dining room assistant to maintain a neat and orderly dining area and guest service spaces within the resort. Join a team known for warm hospitality and the distinct Hershey experience.

You will assist servers, restock areas, clear and reset tables, and perform light cleaning and beverage tasks while supporting the wait staff. Evening and weekend shifts based on union seniority.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and staff.

This position is responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly dining room and the guest service area in an assigned restaurant located within the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Assist servers*
• Restock all dining and service areas*
• Clearing and reset tables*
• Completing daily and weekly cleaning sheets*
• Pouring coffee and water when required*
• Ensuring that condiments are amply supplied on the guest table prior to the guests taking their seats*
• Traying food orders and delivering them to the correct table number efficiently and accurately*
• Forwarding any guest concerns to the applicable wait staff person or supervisor*
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must demonstrate an ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Must demonstrate an ability to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and staff.
• Must present a clean and professional image.

Job Demands:

• Must be able to work on one's feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, push and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must work in a clean, efficient and orderly manner.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including breakfast, lunch and dinner meal periods, according to operational needs

This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
