Job summary

Hai Hospitality Group is accepting applications for Server Assistant / Server. The Service Assistant supports front-of-house excellence by monitoring the dining room, expo line, and bar, serving as a primary food runner, and resetting tables.

Qualifications

• Must communicate with guests and coworkers to ensure smooth service.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies up to 50 lbs; restock duties as needed.
• Stands and walks for extended periods; works in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and reposition seating arrangements as required.
• Maintain a neat, organized workspace and respond quickly to guest needs.

Job description

Hai Hospitality and LORO, Asian Smokehouse + Bar, is accepting applications for Server Assistant / Server.

The position of Service Assistant is the backbone of the Front of House. The goal is to help maintain a high level of service by keeping a keen eye on the dining room, expo line, and bar, SAs are responsible for being the primary food runners, as well as cleaning and resetting tables. Fully trained Server Assistants will have the opportunity to move into a Bartender position, which results in an increase in responsibility and expected wages!

What you’ll do in this role:

• Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and cuisine.
• We'll provide all the info you need to succeed!
• Learn about beer, wine, and cocktails through peer-led beverage training
• Be present and active on the floor, assisting with running side work
• Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, stock supplies
• Assist Bartenders with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience
• Deliver food to our guests and explain each dish
• Receive, organize, and deliver curbside orders to guests waiting outside

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods Bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold
• Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements
