Job summary

Hai Hospitality Group is hiring for a Server Assistant / Server position in Addison, TX. You will help maintain top service by supporting the dining room, expo line, and bar, acting as a primary food runner, and assisting with table resets.

Full training is provided, with opportunities to advance to a Bartender role. Benefits include health options, EAP, 401k matching, and dining discounts as the team grows and specializes in multi-concept hospitality across Hai locations.

Hai Hospitality and LORO, Asian Smokehouse + Bar, is accepting applications for Server Assistant / Server.

The position of Service Assistant is the backbone of the Front of House. The goal is to help maintain a high level of service by keeping a keen eye on the dining room, expo line, and bar, SAs are responsible for being the primary food runners, as well as cleaning and resetting tables. Fully trained Server Assistants will have the opportunity to move into a Bartender position, which results in an increase in responsibility and expected wages!

What you’ll do in this role:

• Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and cuisine.
• We'll provide all the info you need to succeed!
• Learn about beer, wine, and cocktails through peer-led beverage training
• Be present and active on the floor, assisting with running side work
• Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, stock supplies
• Assist Bartenders with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience
• Deliver food to our guests and explain each dish
• Receive, organize, and deliver curbside orders to guests waiting outside

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods Bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold
• Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements
• Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives
• Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces
• Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs
• Ability to work in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area
