Hotel Magdalena, part of the Bunkhouse family, is seeking a Server Assistant to support food service teams, keep dining areas clean, and assist behind the bar. You will stock supplies, set tables, and serve basic beverages and appetizers, contributing to a welcoming guest experience.

The role emphasizes strong communication, conflict resolution, and adherence to safety and company policies in a vibrant Austin setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts when needed.
• Understanding of Bunkhouse policies.
• Six months related hospitality or service experience.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to dress code policies during shift.
• Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties to facilitate service.
• Respond to guest comments and inform supervisor when needed.
• Maintain supplies of linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
• Ensure beverage and ice dispensers and service areas are stocked.
• Set tables with linens, condiments, and supplies.
• Scrape and carry dirty dishes to kitchens for cleaning.
• Clean tables, counters, and equipment in dining areas.
• Wash glasses and serving equipment at bars.
• Serve water, coffee, and appetizers to patrons.
• Maintain communication with departments and management.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
