Job summary

Delilah, part of The h.wood Group, seeks attentive Server Assistants to help deliver an elevated dining experience in Santa Monica. You will anticipate guest needs, assist servers, and help keep stations clean and organized in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates are 21+ with a CA Food Handlers card, authorized to work in the U.S., and able to stand for long shifts. Prior experience in a high-end restaurant is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guest needs and assist servers to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist servers with food & beverage service.
• Maintain cleanliness of stations and equipment (silverware, linen, condiments, beverages).
• Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors.
• Keep back of the restaurant clean and organized.
• Maintain inventory and condition of equipment and operating supplies.
• Communicate with management and service staff about guest needs or incidents.
• Clean spills immediately and notify staff of hazards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

ROLE SUMMARY: Delilah is seeking attentive and service-driven Server Assistants to help create a seamless and elevated dining experience. Responsibilities include anticipating guest needs, assisting with clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout common areas, and supporting servers in all aspects of service. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Open availability is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate the needs of customers and other team members.
• Assists servers with food &beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintains cleanliness of stations with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, condiments, and bottled beverages.
• Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as necessary.
• Responsible for keeping the back of the restaurant clean and organized.
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory and proper condition of equipment and operating supplies.
• Communicates with management, and all other service staff regarding all customer needs comments or incidents.
• Cleans all spills immediately and notifies other staff members about potential hazards.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid CA Certified Food Handlers card is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Must have high energy, great communication skills, and able to work as part of a team.
• Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
