Overview
The Server Assistant with F&B 575 at Aman New York maintains all dining room environment and equipment, assists servers, anticipates guests’ needs, and addresses them accordingly.
This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 + Tips.
Key Responsibilities
- Check assigned station before, during, and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
- Complete designated side work checklists (both opening and closing).
- Keep dining room floors free of debris and spills.
- Bus and reset tables for the next guest, and handle linen logistics.
- Provide excellent service, assist guests courteously and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and station at all times.
- Keep chairs and banquettes clean and clear of debris.
- Handle customer requests promptly.
- Set up side station with water pitchers, etc., as per side work sheet.
- Follow the restaurant's cleaning program as per side work sheet.
- Clear tables between courses and during the meal.
- Deliver food from kitchen to guest tables, including tray service.
- Assist in setting up tables according to floor plan.
- Anticipate guest needs to enhance their experience.
- Attend all food and beverage training sessions as requested.
- Warmly farewell guests and thank them for their visit.
- Be aware of each guest's water preference.
- Prepare coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guests.
- Package to-go food appropriately.
- Participate in daily pre-meal/communication meetings and monthly department meetings.
- Communicate professionally with team members.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and holidays.

- Work safely and organized.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage preparations.
- Ability to relate well to guests and management at all levels.
- Capable of multitasking effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Handle guest requests with attention to detail.
- Certified in TIPS and ServSafe.
- Comfortable with outdoor work and exposure to weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
