Job summary

Main Event Entertainment in Kansas City is seeking a Server Assistant to support servers, greet Guests, and keep dining areas spotless. Your focus is refills, pre-bussing, and turning tables while ensuring safety and sanitation meet the highest standards.

You’ll contribute to delivering an outstanding guest experience. The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus but not required.
• Guest-focused mindset and teamwork are essential.
• Effective communication with guests and team members.
• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification, as required.
• Communicates effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
• Ability to interact with management and guests professionally.
• Availability to work days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in dining areas.
• Greet Guests and take drink orders when needed.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and anticipate needs.
• Support the Server by refilling condiments and pre-bussing tables.
• Turn tables efficiently and provide memorable service.
• Handle opening, mid-day, or closing duties as assigned.

At Main Event, our Server Assistants support the Server to ensure that our Guests have an amazing experience! As a Server Assistant, your primary duty is to help with refills, pre-bussing tables, helping with table turns, and making sure the dining areas are spotlessly clean! You also assist with aspects of service like greeting Guests and taking drink orders. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Assisting with greeting Guests and taking drink orders
• Delivering food and drinks in a timely manner and anticipating Guest’s needs
• Supporting the Server by refilling condiments, pre-bussing tables, and turning tables
• Creating memorable experiences by providing exceptional service
• Performing opening, mid-day, or closing duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus but not required
