Job summary

Omni Corpus Christi Hotel is seeking a friendly, professional Server to ensure guests enjoy seamless and personalized service in our lively dining venues. You will greet guests, take and upsell orders, and collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to deliver exceptional experiences.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of serving in a high-volume setting, solid knowledge of wine and beverages, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving in a high-volume casual environment.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits and beer required.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Food Handlers and TABC certification required or obtainable upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all guests, anticipate needs, and respond to inquiries.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menus and beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station setup and breakdown; perform side-work.
• Take orders, upsell when possible, and present accurate checks.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for restaurant as needed.
• Cross-train across other food & beverage outlets as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for restaurant as needed.
• Cross train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience, high volume & casual environment preferred.
• Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC or be able obtain upon hire.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
