Job summary

Harrison Meadows Country Club in Harrison, NY is seeking a Part-Time Server to join a fast-paced hospitality team. You will process orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining a professional appearance.

Shifts are Saturday through Tuesday daytime, around 25–35 hours per week. Benefits include eligible healthcare and a 401(k) with employer match. Prior food service experience and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of food service experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of fine and casual dining.
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Provide prompt and efficient customer service.
• Display knowledge of the F&B menu.
• Take guests' food and/or drink orders and relay to kitchen/bar.
• Serve beverages and meals accurately and timely.
• Enforce sanitation, safety and alcohol policies; verify age and stop service as needed.
• Check back to ensure guest satisfaction; replenish items as necessary.
• Suggest desserts, coffee and other items as applicable.
• Handle all payments per SOPs.
• Keep tables, dining area and workstations clean.
• Respond to customer complaints.
• Perform closing procedures as assigned.

Compensation:

$16.50 - $18.00 per hour (+ tips) based on experience

Summary:

Servers are integral to the guest experience and provide food & beverage services to the guests of the property. The server will be processing orders and serving food & beverage items to customers, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• 1-2 years of food service experience
• Minimum education: High School (or equivalent) Diploma
• A thorough understanding of fine and casual dining
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
• Must be dependable
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional appearance at all times

Takes guests food and/or drink orders and turns into kitchen, bar, etc

Serve beverages and prepared meals to guests in an accurate and timely manner

Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests

Checks back to ensure guest(s) satisfaction; replenishes items as necessary and/or requested

Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and other items as applicable and/or necessary

Handles all cash and/or credit cards for payment following all standard operating procedures

Keeps tables, dining room and workstation(s) sanitized and organized

Listen and respond to customer complaints

Performs clean-up and closing procedures as assigned by manager

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Additional Information:

This position is expected to be around 25-35 hours per week

This shift is from Saturday - Tuesday during the daytime
