Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a full-time Breakfast Attendant to join our team. Represent the hotel with a courteous, professional demeanor and ensure the breakfast area is inviting and well-maintained.

You will set up and stock the breakfast buffet, maintain cleanliness of public spaces and restrooms, manage linens and supplies, and work with others to uphold safety and service standards throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hotel with authenticity, enthusiasm, professionalism, and businesslike appearance and demeanor to all hotel guests, clients, prospective clients, agents, and the community.
• Ensure the morning breakfast buffet has been properly set up and continue to stock as needed, in addition to proper breakdown and cleaning.
• Maintain decorations and communicate to management the needs for maintenance or improvement to provide the highest quality of service.
• Promptly clean tabletops and chairs throughout breakfast hours as guests come and go.
• Maintain cleanliness of all breakfast room public spaces and restrooms, including but not limited to front of galley, breakfast buffet, and assigned restrooms.
• Retrieve all soiled linens to be sorted and treated.
• Maintain inventory of all food and cleaning supplies and communicate needs to a supervisor when necessary.
• Uphold a friendly demeanor with all guests and interact accordingly, including salutations upon entry and exit.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities.
• Sustain the safety of the property through risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee, and knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests in-person and by phone.
• Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel.
• Ascend and descend a ladder.

Pay

Rate of pay: $17.00/hr.

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing with staff, vendors, and guests in-person and by phone
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
