Job summary

Jewish Family & Children's Services of the Suncoast in San Francisco is seeking staff to provide exceptional dining service for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met and items are served with care. You will set tables, uphold kosher standards and assist with food handling in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include assembling trays, delivering meals, clearing tables, and coordinating with kitchen staff on dietary restrictions and special requests.

Qualifications

• Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening
• Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment

• Provide exceptional dining service, ensuring each resident's dietary needs and restrictions are met.
• Set tables and maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas following the kosher cuisine
• Maintain clean, orderly and safe kitchen and dining room environment by ensuring proper storage of equipment, food and accessories
• Assemble and deliver trays and “to-go” meals, ensuring they are presented attractively
• Clear dishes and utensils from tables during and after meal service, ensuring a tidy dining environment
• Work closely with kitchen staff to communicate special requests or dietary restrictions

Pay Range: $21.12 - $21.63 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt with benefits

Shift and Schedule:

• Hiring Multiple Positions:
  • Saturday - Wednesday 10:30AM - 7:00PM, OR
  • Tuesday - Saturday 10:30AM - 7:00PM
• Flexible availability preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

• Server or senior facilities experience is preferred
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Proficient in written and verbal English

• Work closely with kitchen staff to communicate special requests or dietary restrictions
