Hunter Super Techs - TurnPoint is seeking a courteous server in San Diego, CA. The role requires greeting guests, taking orders, delivering meals, and processing payments in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The position offers full-time hours with standard benefits. Excellent English communication and guest service skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant.
• Excellent guest service skills and strong English communication (verbal and written).
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and POS transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and escort them to their table.
• Present menus, make recommendations, and answer beverage questions.
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Prepare dishes for service and assist with coffee and desserts.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly from kitchen/bar to guests.
• Maintain clean service areas and monitor the dining experience.
• Process payments, close checks, and handle cash transactions.
• Assist teammates with side work and other duties as assigned.

Job Title: ServerDepartment: OperationsReports To: Unit General ManagerStatus: Non-ExemptSalary: $17.75 per hourBroad Functions: To create a positive guest experience in a professional, friendly, helpful, and timely manner resulting in the highest level of guest satisfaction while serving their food.Main Duties and Responsibilities:1. Greet all the guests and escort them to their table.2. Follow the Guest Program's steps of service including the presentation of food and drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions regarding beverages.3. Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them in the point-of-sale system.4. Prepare dishes for service, to include ladling soup, cutting portions of pie and desserts and brewing coffee before serving to the guest.5. Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.6. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.7. Maintain clean service areas.8. Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.9. Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change if necessary.10. Clear all dishes away from the table and ensure guests make payment.11. Sweep, mop floors and re-stock items in the restaurant and wipe down assigned workstations.12. Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.13. Assist Utility Associate by disposing food leftovers from dishes to the garbage containers.14. Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.15. Other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications:1. At least one year’s experience as a server in a full-service restaurant.2. Excellent guest service skills.3. Verbal and written English language are essential. Able to read, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.4. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.5. Food handler or liquor permits as required by law.6. Brand certification as required.7. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.8. Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.9. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.10.
