Job summary

SSP America is hiring servers at Salt Lake City International Airport, offering a welcoming, fast-paced environment where you help guests with menu knowledge and recommendations.

You will take orders, input them into the POS, and assist in preparing simple dishes, while ensuring a smooth dining experience for travelers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food-service is a plus.
• Able to input orders accurately into POS.
• Knowledge of menu items helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and suggest food/bev/services.
• Input orders into the POS system accurately.
• Prepare dishes for service, including soups, salads, desserts, and coffee.
• Observe guests to anticipate needs and requests.
• Clear dishes from tables.
• Balance and reconcile open/closed checks and payments.
• Clear and reset counters or tables after each course.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Server at SSP America:

• Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
• Accurately input orders into the POS system
• Prepare dishes for service, to include ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
• Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond to any additional requests
• Clear all dishes away from table
• Balance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
• Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
