Job summary

Super Taco in Sacramento is seeking a Server to be the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant. You will deliver memorable dining experiences, provide friendly and accurate service, and help create a positive hospitality environment.

As a frontline team member, you will greet guests, share menu knowledge, serve beverages, assist with catering and events, handle orders, and keep the dining area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a server or hospitality role preferred.
• Current food handler’s card required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure
  
  
  • Ensure each guest has a positive dining experience from start to finish
  
  
  • Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, and promotions
  
  
  • Serve and prepare beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails (if of age), and non-alcoholic drinks
  
  
  • Function as host/hostess as needed
  
  
  • Support delivery of food and beverages to tables
  
  
  • Assist with catering and events operations
  
  
  • Process transactions, handle splitting checks, and take phone orders
  
  
  • Pack and verify takeout orders prior to guest pickup
  
  
  • Answer telephones and record messages for management
  
  
  • Promptly convey guest concerns to management
  
  
  
  


• Restaurant Operations
  
  
  
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
  
  
  • Maintain a clean and attractive entry and dining area
  
  
  • Organize received inventory and stock shelves/refrigerators
  
  
  • Conduct opening, shift change, and closing duties as scheduled
  
  
  • Maintain restroom cleanliness throughout your shift
  
  
  • Perform side work and complete assigned tasks
  
  
  • Assist with cleaning and resetting tables; bus tables as needed

  • Assist in training new front-of-house team members

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant server or hospitality team role preferred


• Current food handler’s card required


• Up-to-date RBS certification (if of age)


• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills


• Positive mindset and strong internal motivation


• Ability to stand and walk for up to four hours and throughout the shift


• Physically able to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and tolerant of temperature changes


• Correct uniform required (Shoes, Nametag, Super Taco Shirt, Jeans, Hair up, Nails short/low, No large earrings)


• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Open mind and willingness to learn

Schedule

Full-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
