Job summary

Troon's Babcock National Golf Club in Punta Gorda, FL is hiring a part-time or full-time Server who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will welcome guests, describe specials, take orders, deliver meals promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining POS accuracy.

Experience is flexible (GED or high school diploma preferred); training includes food safety and alcohol awareness. A valid driver's license for range operations is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and provides immediate attention upon seating.
• Describes daily specials and answers questions about menu items.
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers promptly after preparation.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenishes items as needed.
• Maintains organized workstation and handles pre-shift meetings and tastings.
• Operates POS system and handles checks/cash transactions.
• Sets up and breaks down stations each shift and adheres to service standards.

Babcock National Golf Club, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time or full-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties
• Setting up and breaking down golf stations every shift
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Position requires to be cross trained in bartending service
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Valid driver license required (driver license will be required when operating the picker for range balls, golf cart)
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the Server.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system.
