Job summary

Milestone Retirement in Washington is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents. You will provide attentive service during meals, keep dining areas clean and safe, and support a collaborative team dedicated to resident comfort.

You’ll interact with residents and families, accommodate dietary needs and preferences, follow safety standards, and contribute to a warm, engaging community. Must have ServSafe certification and be able to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Ability to obtain/hold local food handling licenses as required.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent dining service and accommodate residents' dietary needs.
• Circulate in dining areas to check satisfaction and address concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining spaces, tables, linens and equipment.
• Follow safety practices and support compliance with Safety standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service.
• Report elder maltreatment or abuse per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Role

We’re seeking a Server to provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents. In this role, you’ll ensure high-quality service during meals, maintain a clean and safe dining environment, and support a team that creates a pleasant and engaging atmosphere. You’ll interact directly with residents, families, and coworkers, helping to foster a welcoming and positive community.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dining preferences and dietary needs are met


• Circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly


• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment


• Follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards


• Assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment


• Report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy


• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred


• Experience in food service preferred


• Current ServSafe Certification required


• Ability to obtain/hold any local, state, or county food handling/sanitation licenses as required


• Must be 18 years or older, pass health screenings, TB clearance, fingerprinting, and background checks


• First Aid certification required


• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly


• Strong communication and organizational skills


• Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor


• Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure
