Contra Costa Country Club in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking an A La Carte Server for full-time hours. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.90–$18.00 plus service charge, within a private club setting that values refined dining and member relations.

You will deliver attentive, professional service across dining areas, guide guests through menus, and help maintain dining room standards while coordinating with the kitchen and bar teams. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience preferred; private club or fine dining experience a plus.

A La Carte Server – Full Time

Compensation: $16.90–$18.00/hour + service charge

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Restaurant Manager, Assistant Managers, and F&B Director

Position Overview

The A La Carte Server delivers warm, attentive, and professional service to members and guests in all dining areas of the club. This role requires a polished presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate needs while maintaining the high standards expected in a private country club environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a team setting, enjoys building rapport with members, and consistently contributes to a refined dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide gracious, efficient, and knowledgeable service throughout each shift
• Greet members by name and build positive, professional relationships
• Guide members through menus, specials, and wine selections
• Accurately take orders and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages

Operational Support

Follow all club service standards, steps of service, and grooming guidelines

Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service policies

Handle member concerns with professionalism and communicate issues to management promptly
