Job summary

Avista Senior Living at The Stratford in Phoenix, AZ is seeking dedicated Servers to join our team. Under supervision, you will assist with meal preparation and service for residents, ensuring compassionate care and top-notch service in a senior living environment.

Applicants should be team players with excellent communication; food service experience is preferred though not required. A food handler's permit or ability to obtain one is required. We offer full-time roles with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning duties per policy.
• Sets up meal trays, carts, and the dining room as instructed.
• May assist the Cook with meal preparation.

Avista Senior Living at The Stratford, a beautiful senior living community in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking dedicated & motivated team members to join our team as Servers.

Under general supervision of the Dining Supervisor, the servers performs a variety of duties involving preparation and service of balanced meals to the residents of Avista. The Servers will possess a genuine interest in and concern for the food service industry and for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to communicate well and take direction to ensure top notch service to our residents.

Essential Functions

• Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Avista
• Prepares food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
• Assists in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis.
• Assists with inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies.
• Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, the dining room etc., as instructed.
• May assist Cook with preparing meals.
• Serves food in dining room, as instructed.
