Job summary

Palisades Tahoe is seeking friendly servers to provide guests with the highest quality dining experience. You will take orders and deliver food and drinks in a professional and efficient manner.

Applicants must be 18 years of age. The base hourly pay range is $17.00–$22.07 per hour, with many positions starting around $20/hour. Perks include free skiing, discounts, 401(k) matching, and more across Palisades Tahoe and partner resorts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years serving experience is preferred.
• California Food Handlers card required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
• Present menus, explain how various menu items are prepared, and describe ingredients and cooking methods.
• Inform customers of daily specials.
• Check patrons' identification to ensure minimum age for alcohol.
• Open and pour wine at tableside.
• Place orders using POS; communicate with kitchen about specials or unavailable items.
• Ensure guests are enjoying meals and address issues.
• Prepare checks itemizing meal costs and tax.
• Clear tables, clear dishes, restock condiments and assist kitchen staff as needed.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

• Seasonal, full-time and part-time positions available at multiple venues at Palisades Tahoe

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks

• Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
• Present menus, explain how various menu items are prepared, and describe ingredients and cooking methods.
• Inform customers of daily specials.
• Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Properly open and pour wine at tableside
• Place order using POS system. Communicate with kitchen of special needs or if a menu item is not available
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
• Clear tables, deposit plates and utensils in bus tubs, dispose trash and wipe tables clean
• Assist food runners as needed. Carry food orders from kitchen to customers, fill drink orders, fill customer requests
• Restock condiments, utensils, napkins, cups and other items as needed
• Sweep floor, pick up trash
• Assist kitchen staff as needed.
