Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Server for our restaurant in North Dakota. This full-time, hourly role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences from seating to payment.

You will greet guests, guide menus, take orders, and ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

About The Role

As a Server in our Restaurant, you will play a central role in delivering a memorable dining experience for every guest. You will be the primary point of contact at the table, guiding guests through the menu, answering questions, and providing attentive, friendly service from the moment they are seated until their check is settled. This hourly, full-time position requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service and uphold our standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, present menus, and explain daily specials or featured items
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverages based on guest preferences and menu offerings
• Accurately take guest orders and enter them into the POS system, ensuring any allergies or dietary restrictions are clearly communicated to the kitchen
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, organized manner, ensuring proper presentation and accuracy of each order
• Check back with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, anticipate needs, and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
• Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit transactions, and follow established cash-handling procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized section, including tables, chairs, service stations, and surrounding areas
• Collaborate with teammates and support staff to clear and reset tables efficiently between seatings
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food and beverages
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including those related to responsible alcohol service (where applicable)
• Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and ongoing learning to stay current on menu items and service standards
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned, such as stock replenishment, side work, and basic cleaning tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, waiter/waitress, or in a similar front-of-house restaurant role preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems or the ability to learn quickly
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including proper table service etiquette and responsible alcohol service (where applicable)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional hospitality training is a plus
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcohol in accordance with local laws, if applicable
