Join us for an exciting new Japanese restaurant, located right by Little Island, and be a key player in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests.

At Miru, Servers are the heartbeat of the guest experience, embodying our Japanese-inspired hospitality with every interaction. This role is responsible for delivering warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service from the moment a guest is seated through the end of their dining experience. Servers must be skilled in menu guidance, sake pairings, and seamless service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed, cared for, and eager to return.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine warmth, reflecting Miru’s spirit of community and hospitality
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, serve dishes promptly, and ensure all guest needs are anticipated and met with care
• Confidently discuss our menu and beverage offerings, including Japanese ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens
• Actively upsell specials, promote featured sake’s, and support the execution of marketing initiatives and events
• Handle payment transactions with accuracy and adhere to company cash handling standards
• Maintain clean and organized service areas and assist in opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with all local and company regulations
• Engage in ongoing training, sake tastings, and cultural immersion to deepen product knowledge and guest connection
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly, escalating when needed to management
• Represent Miru’s brand and values at all times through presentation, professionalism, and service approach

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Server in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or comparable hospitality setting
• Genuine passion for food, sake, and Japanese culture
• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect authentically with guests and teammates
• Strong sales orientation and ability to contribute to team performance goals
• Poised, polished, and professional demeanor under pressure
• Must be fluent in English and able to accurately operate a POS system
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
