Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a friendly server to greet guests and take all food and beverage orders.

This role requires the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and communicate clearly to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service.

A High School diploma or GED is required, with at least 1 year of experience in hotels, banquets, or events; flexible shifts may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure orders accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Prepare items including appetizers, sides and desserts.
• Assist other servers with their tables.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of station and service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.

Job description

• Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions.
• Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
• Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
• Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
• Prepare food items for guests such including appetizers, sides and desserts.
• Assist other servers with their tables.
• Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
• Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
• Ascend and descend a ladder
