Job summary

Melini Cucina is seeking a friendly server to take and deliver food and beverages, greet guests, and promote specials. You will input orders into the POS, check for accuracy, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, deliver courteous service, and comply with health and liquor policies. Prior serving experience is preferred, and a valid Food Worker Card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Take orders and input the order into the POS system to inform the kitchen of order specifics.
• Retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirm accuracy and deliver to guests.
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Abide by state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Check station for proper setup and cleanliness before, during and after shift.

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid Food Worker Card required
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
