Tommy's Tavern + Tap in Morris Plains is seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our fast-paced team. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver meals and beverages, and ensure a welcoming dining experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of full-service restaurant experience, strong communication, and the stamina to stay energized during busy shifts. You will collaborate with bussers and kitchen staff and uphold health and service standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry items as needed.

As a Server at Tommy’s Tavern + Tap, you are the face of the guest experience. You will be responsible for providing attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to ensure every guest feels welcome and valued. Your role is essential in creating a positive and memorable dining experience.

Requirements

• Greet guests promptly and warmly and guide them through the menu.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
• Collaborate with bussers, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and elevate when necessary.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous experience working in full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• People + communication skills.
• Passion + work ethic for the restaurant industry.
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for an extended period.
• Continuous use of hands, arms, bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Ability to carry 35 pounds as needed.
• Ability to carry trays as needed.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work in a Team setting.
