Job summary

Ironhorse Golf Club in Leawood, Kansas, is seeking a friendly, customer‑focused Part-time Server to join our hospitality team. You will greet guests, describe daily specials, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Experience in a fast-paced dining environment is valued. The role requires a valid driver license for range-ball operations and a commitment to dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate attention to guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day, answers questions, and offers menu suggestions.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders to guests.
• Follows-up to ensure guest satisfaction and replenishes items as needed.
• Maintains organized workstation and follows POS and cash handling procedures.
• Cross-trains in bartending service and participates in pre-shift meetings.
• Ensures safe work practices and adheres to company standards.

Ironhorse Golf Club, located in Leawood, KS, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.


• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.


• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.


• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.


• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.


• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.


• Setting up and breaking down golf stations every shift.


• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.


• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.


• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.


• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.


• Position requires to be cross trained in bartending service.


• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.


• Valid driver license required (driver license is required when operating the picker for range balls, golf cart).


• Regular and reliable attendance.


• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.


• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.


• Knowledge of POS system.
