Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Club is seeking a Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages at our locations in Hawaii. This role requires maintaining cleanliness, communicating dietary needs, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

You will explain menu items, address allergies, and coordinate with the kitchen to meet guests’ expectations. Flexible shifts are available, with opportunities to grow within the Hyatt Vacation Club family.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests, takes orders, and delivers food and drinks.
• Sets tables, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Communicates meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Explains menu items and specials and checks in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and/or beverage.
• Presents check and processes payment, adhering to cash handling and gratuity policies.

As a Server, a typical day will include:

• Greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks.
• Sets tables ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Communicates any meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Explains menu items and specials and checks in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage.
• Presents physical and accurate check and process payment, adhering to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures including added and received gratuity.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Server at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
