Job summary

Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Server to join our dietary services team. The role supports daily meal service, beverage stations, and sanitation of kitchen areas in a healthcare setting.

The position requires basic sanitation knowledge, the ability to stand for 8 hours, and a food handler’s certification. Compensation is hourly with benefits associated with the facility’s health care program.

Qualifications

• 2 years food service experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sanitary food preparation procedures and general equipment use and cleaning.
• Read, write, and speak so as to communicate and follow written/oral instructions.
• Must obtain food handler’s certification.
• Must be able to stand on your feet continuously for an 8-hour shift.
• Ambulate through kitchen and lift up to 20 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and set up beverage stations daily.
• Set up meal service timely according to schedule.
• Must maintain and stock utensils for daily meal service.
• Must serve patients, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Washing dishes and putting up clean and sanitized dishes to appropriate areas.
• Clean kitchen and equipment as needed or according to routine cleaning schedule.
• Attend in-service classes as required.
• Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Must work cooperatively with co-workers, managers, patients, and prospective patients.
• Must be able to work in constant state of alertness to perform the job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and set up beverage stations daily

• Assist with cleaning projects, sweeping, mopping, garbage removal as assigned
• Stock and straighten storerooms, coolers, and freezers as directed
• Attend in-service classes as required
• Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
• Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, patients, and prospective patients
• Must be able to work in constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director
• Must obtain food handler’s certification

Qualifications

• Operate food service and dishwashing equipment safely
