Job summary

Prairie Dunes Country Club is seeking a part-time food and beverage employee to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accurate communication with kitchen and bar teams.

Candidates should have experience in guest service, wine/beverage etiquette, and strong teamwork. Evening, weekend, and some holiday hours are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as waiter/waitress/bartender preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Guest Service: Provide exemplary, personalized service to members and guests, ensuring their comfort, satisfaction, and enjoyment throughout their dining experience. Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly and courteously.
• Menu Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the dining menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings. Assist members and guests in making informed menu choices and provide recommendations as needed.
• Order Taking: Accurately take guests’ food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff. Relay orders promptly and accurately to the kitchen.
• Table Preparation: Set and maintain elegant table settings, ensuring they meet the standards for cleanliness and presentation. Ensure tables are appropriately arranged for the number of guests in the party.
• Beverage Service: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and guidelines. Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other waitstaff members to ensure smooth and timely service. Communicate member feedback and special requests to the relevant teams.
