Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server in Houston to deliver attentive, hospitality-focused service in our on-site dining room. You will work closely with the Dining Room Coordinator and fellow servers to ensure a welcoming atmosphere during meals and events for residents.

The role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting. Prior dining experience is preferred, and flexible weekend/holiday scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to multi-task and collaborate with team members.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on hospitality role.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and prior server experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and personalized dining service to assigned tables in our on-site restaurant.
• Take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages on time.
• Ensure meals are served at correct temperatures with proper presentation.
• Prepare and set up dining room for service, ensuring supplies are ready.
• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and anticipate guest needs throughout service.

• 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.


• 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.


• 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.


• 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

About The Role

As a Dining Room Server at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play an active role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience throughout each meal and special event. Working collaboratively with our Dining Room Coordinator and other Dining Room Servers, you will provide hands-on table service and assist with special event meal service in our Assisted Living community. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and personalized dining service to a group of assigned tables in our on‑site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience


• Take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner


• Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy


• Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready


• Assist with meal service at special events and celebrations held within the Belmont Village community


• Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age


• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English


• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed


• Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members


• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and work in a hands‑on, hospitality oriented position


• Knowledge of dining etiquette and prior Restaurant Server experience is preferred


• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
