Responsibilities
- Accurately represent the Tiny Boxwoods Productions’ brand.
- Learn and be knowledgeable of the food and beverage menus.
- Prepare dining room and patio for service.
- Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Make knowledgeable food, wine, and cocktail recommendations.
- Deliver food and beverage from kitchen or bar to dining room or patio.
- Perform wine service according to industry standards.
- Must ensure all guests are well taken care of and needs are met.
- Communicate clearly with guests and fellow staff members.
- Perform regular table maintenance for guests throughout their meal.
- Collect and polish all clean cutlery and glassware for service.
- Interact socially with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
- Monitor quality control and guest satisfaction.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly.
- Must adhere to sanitation, safety and alcoholic beverage control policy and regulations.
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
- Follow side work procedures, keeping the restaurant properly cleaned and organized from open to close.
- Must always be pressed and tailored, complying to the dress code policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the position of food runner/daytime server.
- Must be passionate about food, wine, spirits, and coffee (as applicable to location)
- TABC Certified
- Texas Food Handlers certificate
- Good memory
- Flexible availability in scheduling possibly including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capacity to multitask
- Must be able to carry 2-3 plates at one time and/or a tray containing dishware, cutlery and/or glassware.
- Ability to work as part of a team
Working conditions
The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical requirements
The incumbent is required to stand for the entire shift. Incumbent is regularly required to speak and hear. This position is very active and requires walking, standing and minimal lifting.
