Job summary

Mayahuel at Culinary Khancepts in Houston, TX is seeking a server to deliver warm, attentive hospitality across a high-energy Mexican-inspired concept. You will educate guests on offerings, guide experiences with suggestive selling, and work quickly as part of a collaborative front-of-house team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant.
• Able to multi-task.
• Ability to stand for long period, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces.
• Food Handler & TABC Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu edits.
• Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed; assisting with special events as needed.
• Greet all guests in a hospitable and warm manner.
• Understand and communicate all products and services available.
• Must have some familiarity with basic food knowledge.
• Commit to delivering high levels of customer service.
• Practice appropriate safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.

Job Summary

As a server at Mayahuel, you have the protentional to earn up to $40.00 an hour. We truly care about providing a memorable and hospitable experience. Our servers are always welcoming and accommodating to our guests, with the ability to educate and guide their experience to create lasting memories. You have a desire to expand your knowledge of our offerings and be creative with your recommendations, using suggestive selling where appropriate. You work quickly, love being part of a team and are capable of solving problems in stride.
