Job summary

Champion Hills Golf Club in Hendersonville, NC, is seeking a Server to greet guests, describe daily specials, take and deliver orders, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work with POS systems and cash handling. Cross-training in bartending is expected, with healthcare and 401(k) retirement benefits available.

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food promptly after preparation.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains an organized workstation and side work duties.
• Sets up and breaks down golf stations every shift.
• Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Must be cross-trained in bartending service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Valid driver's license required (will be required when operating the ball picker and golf cart).
