Job summary

SSP America is hiring a Server at the CVG Airport in Kentucky. The role involves taking orders, handling payments, serving a variety of drinks and foods, and keeping the area clean. Full-time hours are available with paid vacation and sick time, plus free parking.

The ideal candidate is 18+, has basic food and beverage knowledge, and can communicate fluently in English. Training and brand certifications may be required; POS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• English language fluency (verbal and written).
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and making change.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from customers and provide change.
• Serve drinks and food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Keep the work area clean and sanitary throughout the day.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Server:

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
