Job summary

SSP America is hiring servers in Sterling, VA. The role involves taking orders, handling payments, serving drinks and food, and maintaining a clean work area. On-Demand Pay is available via a company app, with earned wages up to 50% drawn before payday.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and making change.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate keyboard & POS procedures to pre-check and close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Has
