Role Description

The Server role at Gaylord Hotels is a full-time, on-site position located in Grapevine, TX. The Server is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service in restaurants, lounges, and event spaces. Daily tasks include greeting guests, presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring that tables and service areas are clean and well-organized. The Server works closely with the kitchen and bar teams to coordinate timely service, verify order accuracy, and support special events and banquets. This role also involves processing payments, responding to guest requests, following safety and hygiene standards, and contributing to a positive, professional atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and hospitality skills, including the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to coordinate smoothly with kitchen, bar, and event staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge, including familiarity with menus, ingredients, and responsible alcohol service; prior serving or restaurant experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tables, special requests, and event-specific service requirements.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays safely, and follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event and restaurant needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant hospitality training or certifications (such as food handler or alcohol service certification) are a plus.
