Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings, a franchisee-focused restaurant, is seeking energetic servers in Garden Grove, CA. You will welcome guests, present food and drink options, and suggest items to enhance the dining experience.

You’ll handle orders, process payments, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced sports-bar setting. The role requires 18+ years of age, alcohol service certification, and strong hospitality and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write guest food orders, memorize, and enter into POS for kitchen.
• Check ID to ensure legal drinking age.
• Serve food and beverages to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
• Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and inform managers as needed.
• Follow steps of service and company procedures.
• Remove dishes and glasses and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Process guest payments accurately.
• Remain knowledgeable of marketing initiatives and events to invite guests back.

Our servers are tasked with the primary responsibility of creating a unique and personal experience for Buffalo Wild Wings’s Guests by enthusiastically and effectively presenting food and beverage options in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner. This role will focus their attention on guests seated in the full-service dining areas of the restaurant.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to guests upon arrival and personally engage with guests through conversations supporting current sports events and other promotional activity
• Present food and beverage options in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
• Inform guests of specials and/or promotions (food and beverage), answer questions pertaining to the food and beverage menus, and be prepared to make suggestions to enhance the guest’s dining experience
• Write Guest food orders on slips, memorize orders, and enter orders correctly into the Point-of-Sale system for transmittal to kitchen staff
• Check Guest identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Serve food and/or beverages to guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience
• Check with Guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and anticipate any need for corrective action to ensure Guest satisfaction – Inform Managers as needed
• Follow steps of service and other CSP's (Company Standard Procedures)
• Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning
• Collect and accurately process Guest payments
• Remain knowledgeable of current marketing initiatives and upcoming events to proactively inform guests and invite them to return

The physical demands for this position require the individual to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 20 pounds, and move intermittently during working hours.
