Job summary

NexDine Endwell location is seeking a Server/Guest Experience Ambassador to deliver a best-in-class dining experience for residents, colleagues, and guests. You will lead serving activities, explain menu items and preparation methods, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining clean service areas and assisting culinary staff as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior food service or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in food service is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class dining experiences to residents, colleagues, and guests.
• Lead service of food and beverages and accommodate specialty diets.
• Engage with residents to take orders and explain menu items and preparation methods.
• Ensure satisfaction and communicate issues to the supervisor as needed.

Communicate with direct supervisor on any customer service issues.Check residents' diets, likes & dislikes to ensure that such requirements are satisfied.Assist with set-up/breakdown of all scheduled meal periods.Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens as needed.Perform cleaning duties as assigned, including but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, tidying up service station, clearing tables and taking out trash.May wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.May assist in supporting culinary staff at numerous stations as directed.Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Work Environment:The Guest Experience Ambassador/Server operates in a kitchen environment whereby employees may be exposed to and/or required to operate equipment, including but not limited to, an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives. The team member is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
