Job summary

Coronado Retirement Village is seeking a dining room aide to support chefs with prep work, such as peeling and cutting while maintaining safety standards. You will greet residents, take and deliver meal orders, and keep the dining room clean and orderly.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be fluent in English, and hold a Food Handlers Certification along with First Aid Certification; one year of food handling experience is preferred, and you must pass a California background check.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Food Handlers Certification required or company paid if expired.
• First Aid Certification required or company paid if expired.
• Hospitality and customer service skills are essential.
• Must be able to multitask, be flexible, and willing to cross-train.
• At least 1 year of experience in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef and Cooks with food prep tasks (peeling, cutting, cleaning) according to safety standards.
• Greet residents and take meal orders; deliver plated meals to residents.
• Ensure dining room is clean and maintained to standards throughout service.
• Learn residents' dietary restrictions, changes in diets, and preferences.

Description

Will assist Chef and Cooks with prep work. Cleaning, peeling, cutting of food items according to the company's safety standard. Meeting and greeting residents as they come into the dining room. You will take meal orders from the residents and deliver to them when meal is plated. Monitoring the dining room to ensure it is clean and up to our standards. You will learn the resident's dietary restrictions, change of diets and preferences.

Requirements
