The Met Downtown in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an experienced server to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure timely service with a focus on hospitality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 1 year of work in a customer service environment.

Job description

General Purpose

The Server will provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Each server's primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Monitors and observe guests’ dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any
  • Presents menus to guests and answers questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
  • Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will
  • Explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking
  • Describes and recommends wines to
  • Conveys food orders to kitchen
  • Checks guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic
  • Provide guests with information about local areas, including giving
  • Provides food and drink preparation duties such as salads, appetizers, coffee and
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes in preparation for
  • Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pour the wines for
  • Prepares checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes; collects

Education or Formal Training:
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Wyoming applicable health and/or alcohol compliance
Experience:
  • A minimum of one (1) year of work in a customer service environment required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of prior server experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

Must have reliable transportation.

Working Conditions
Working Environment:

The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. No travel is expected for this position.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. Must be able to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis.
