Job summary

Greenbrier Senior Living in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Server to join our dining team. You will set up tables, provide courteous service, serve meals, clear tables, and support dining operations to create a welcoming resident experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED preferred and hospitality experience; strong communication, teamwork, and physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred (1+ year).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain proper table settings (flatware, glasses, napkins, condiments, décor).
• Ensure salt and pepper shakers, sugar holders, and other items are stocked and clean.
• Provide prompt, courteous and professional service to residents and guests.
• Serve meals from the left, pour beverages and clear from the right.
• Clear tables between courses and transport dishes to the kitchen.
• Clean and reset tables and chairs for the next meal service.
• Sweep and mop dining areas as needed.
• Assist with preparation and service for special events and functions.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and guests.

What You Will Do

• Set up and maintain proper table settings, including flatware, glasses, napkins, condiments, and décor
• Ensure salt and pepper shakers, sugar holders, and other table items are clean and fully stocked
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to residents and guests
• Serve meals in an orderly manner (serve from the left, pour beverages and clear from the right)
• Clear tables between courses and remove dishes efficiently
• Transport dishes to the kitchen after meal service
• Clean and reset tables and chairs for the next meal service
• Sweep and mop dining areas as needed
• Assist with preparation and service for special events and functions
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and guests while maintaining a friendly and cheerful attitude
• Support overall dining operations and perform other duties as assigned

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
