Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States is seeking a senior SAP archiving specialist to lead the Serrala archiving initiatives within the SAP S/4HANA transformation program. You will drive the design, deployment, and governance of information lifecycle management across ECC and S/4HANA environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Serrala, ADK, AIS, and OpenText, plus collaboration with Finance, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on Serrala archiving in SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong SAP archiving objects knowledge
  • Experience with OpenText or SAP Content Server
  • Knowledge of ILM, retention rules, data destruction
  • Data volume management and archiving job scheduling
  • Experience with S/4HANA conversion or transformation
  • Ability to lead onsite design and deployment
  • Coordinate with multiple business functions
  • Lead cutover and hypercare activities

Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite design, implementation, and deployment of Serrala archiving for the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Develop the enterprise archiving strategy, roadmap, governance model, retention schedule, and operating procedures across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
  • Conduct discovery and design workshops; identify data growth drivers, applicable archiving objects, dependencies, and compliance constraints.
  • Configure archiving objects, variants, retention periods, write/delete/store sequences, and archived-data access.
  • Coordinate integration with content repositories and ensure secure, reliable storage and retrieval of archived documents and business data.
  • Partner with functional and technical teams to preserve reporting, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage onsite/offshore delivery, risks, issues, and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide cutover and hypercare leadership; monitor archive jobs and system performance.

Job Description
  • SAP data archiving, document archiving, information lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on implementation and solution design experience with Serrala archiving solutions in SAP S/4HANA landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP archiving objects, Archive Development Kit (ADK), Archive Information System (AIS), SAP ILM, retention rules, and data destruction controls.
  • Experience integrating Serrala with SAP content repositories, OpenText, SAP Content Server, or equivalent enterprise content management platforms.
  • Understanding of data volume management, database growth analysis, archiving job scheduling, dependency sequencing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience defining retention policies and meeting legal, audit, SOX, privacy, and records-management requirements.
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA conversion or transformation scenarios, including legacy data disposition, archived-data access, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Ability to collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order-to-Cash, Basis, Security, Infrastructure, Data, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Lead the onsite design, implementation, and deployment of Serrala archiving capabilities for the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Develop the enterprise archiving strategy, roadmap, governance model, retention schedule, and operating procedures across ECC and S/4HANA environments.

  • Ensure knowledge transfer to support teams and establish sustainable monitoring, controls, and continuous-improvement practices.

Salary Range : $130,000 to $160,000 Per Annum
