This role primarily covers the geography of Manhattan and Long Island (with some accounts in Connecticut and Rhode Island), with a preference for candidates within 1 hr of New York City.
The Senior Sequencing Sales Specialist role is to be a customer-facing strategic and technical sales resource for the Illumina sequencing and multiomic product portfolios, to work as part of a team of account managers in achieving regional sales objectives, and to closely monitor market and competitor activities.

Educational requirement:
BA/BS or MS or equivalent degree in Life/Biological Sciences is required. Ph.D. or Masters in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or related field is highly desired. MBA is a plus.
Preferred Experiential Background:
In addition to the base salary range below, this position qualifies for an annual commission target of 65% the base salary.
The estimated base salary range for the Sequencing Sales Specialist-Manhattan and Long Island role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
