Job summary

Wind River Environmental seeks a skilled Installation Technician to install residential and commercial septic systems, operating heavy equipment and reading blueprints to ensure safe, code-compliant work. You will coordinate with customers, health departments, and inspectors while delivering top‑notch service.

The role requires a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement, 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, and the ability to read simple septic diagrams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation (excavators, skid steers).
• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and clean driving record.
• Prior septic installation and repair experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret simple septic system diagrams.
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steers to dig trenches for septic tanks and drain lines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to determine proper system layout.
• Install septic tanks and piping systems according to local codes and permit requirements.
• Work with inspectors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects correctly and efficiently.
• Perform system inspections for real estate transactions and troubleshooting services.
• Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available service options.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation for each job.
• Work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
