Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team, focusing on safe and professional installation of residential and commercial septic systems. You will operate heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers, read blueprints and site plans, and coordinate with customers, health departments, and inspectors to ensure code-compliant work.

You should have a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement, 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, and a strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (excavators, skid steers).
• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Prior septic installation and repair experience required.
• Ability to read and draw simple septic system diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steers to dig trenches for septic tanks and drain lines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to determine proper system layout.
• Install septic tanks and piping systems according to local codes and permit requirements.
• Work with inspectors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects correctly and efficiently.
• Perform system inspections for real estate transactions and troubleshooting services.
• Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available service options.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation for each job.
• Work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
