Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking a skilled Installation Technician to install, repair, and modify residential and commercial septic systems. You’ll operate heavy equipment, read blueprints, and work with customers, health departments, and inspectors on a daytime shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (excavators, skid steers).
• Prior septic installation and repair experience required.
• Ability to read and draw simple septic system diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steers to dig trenches for septic tanks and drain lines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to determine proper system layout.
• Install septic tanks and piping systems according to local codes and permit requirements.
• Work with inspectors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects correctly and efficiently.
• Perform system inspections for real estate transactions and troubleshooting services.
• Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available service options.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation for each job.
• Work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
