UofL Health, Inc. seeks a Sepsis Response Nurse at University Hospital – UMC in Louisville, KY. This RN role supports early detection and intervention for sepsis, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team during nights (7P–7A).

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in critical care or emergency, BLS and ACLS, and seeks to mentor staff while improving sepsis outcomes.

Applicants must hold Kentucky RN licensure; BSN preferred and CCRN/TCRN within 1 year is desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years critical care or emergency department experience (required).
• 1 year of rapid response experience (preferred).
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact license to work in Kentucky (required).
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification (required).
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification (required).
• CCRN or TCRN upon hire or within 1 year of hire (required).

Responsabilités

• Conducts systematic assessments from admission to discharge to ensure patient safety.
• Administers medications and documents administration per policies.
• Collaborates with care team to plan and implement patient care.
• Monitors sepsis alerts and responds to ensure timely intervention.
• Mentors staff in sepsis bundle guidelines and best practices.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and safety surveillance.
